In today’s episode, Annie and Emily sit down with medical illustrator, Angela Yeung, to spend some time talking about what it’s like studying and working abroad and some of the things you could do as a student to help pave your way to finding a job in a foreign country.

About Angela:

Angela is a medical illustrator and multimedia designer at Now Medical Studios.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, she gained her bachelor degree in Biotechnology in her hometown before moving to Dundee for the Medical Art Masters programme in 2018. After graduation, Angela started her career working as a medical artist for various studios before joining the Now Medical Studios in Autumn 2020.

She enjoys every new challenge in work, where a high level of originality and anatomical accuracy is always required.

Annie Campbell

Annie is a medical illustrator and animator who runs Now Medical Studios with her business partner, Emily Holden. Her experiences as an art director, project manager and multimedia artist for various studios and companies in the USA and UK have provided her with a broad range of skills and expertise that she now brings to every project. Annie firmly believes in life long learning and sharing.

One of her passions is sharing the business of medical illustration with younger artists embarking into the field. She founded and is an active contributor of Learn Medical Art with Emily, a channel dedicated to creating and sharing tutorials, articles and resources from the field.
